Policies

Department of Education & Training Policies

NT Music School adheres to NT Department of Education & Training policies and guidelines.

Engaging our community

At NT Music School, we believe "Everyone Can Play," regardless of age or ability. Music making is accessible to everyone, whether it’s tapping your feet, whistling, or singing an aria. Music has lifelong benefits, enhancing academic outcomes, social and emotional well-being, and physical capabilities. We encourage community involvement and active participation in children's music education.

For Schools

Our goal is to foster a vibrant and high-quality music education culture in schools. There is strong evidence that music education enhances academic performance and overall student well-being. Despite the challenges in resourcing music education, schools that prioritise music see significant benefits. We work best in partnership with schools to develop effective music education strategies. For detailed information on our Instrumental and Choral Programs, please visit our Programs and Ensembles pages.

For Parents

We believe that "Everyone Can Play." The benefits of participating in music programs are well-documented. We encourage parents to support and actively engage in their child's music education. Detailed information about specific programs can be found on our Programs and Ensembles pages.
