The power of playing together

At Northern Territory Music School, our after school Ensemble Program is designed to enhance and expand our students' musicianship. By providing regular opportunities to play with others and perform publicly, we help students develop and apply the skills they've learned through lessons, practice & rehearsals.

Diverse Ensemble Opportunities

Our after school ensembles, open to students from year 4 to year 12, represent NT Music School at various public events throughout the year. Each ensemble has specific entry conditions, ensuring that students find the right fit for their skill level and interests.

Concert Band Ensembles

  • Da Capo: Beginner ensemble for instrumental students.
  • Con Moto: Intermediate ensemble for instrumental students.
  • Apogee: Advanced ensemble for high-standard instrumental students and forming the main body of the Beat Festival Pit Orchestra.

Choir, Percussion, Guitar and Rock School Ensembles

  • Pure Note: Advanced choir for high-end choral students, entry by annual audition
  • Singchronicity Darwin: Combined schools' choir, entry by audition
  • Singchronicity Palmerston and Rural: Combined schools choir, entry by audition
  • String Theory: Guitar ensemble, entry by invitation and audition
  • Rock School: Contemporary rock band ensemble, entry by invitation and audition
